Need some memory advice.... - Page 2

Looks like good ram with plenty of headroom for overclocking since it's DDR2 1000 and your mobo supports DDR2 up to 800.
The Ballistix are better than the ordinary Crucial ram modules. Duh !
Then again, it all depends on the budget you have in mind. But I'd go for it.

The ballistix tracers are pretty cool too . I have some in my second rig since I just replaced my main mem. They have blue lights on the bottom that light up the dimm slots, and some Knight Rider action lights on the top that move around. I really like them, my new main rig ram doesn't have lights but oh well pretty fans make up for it. Least my rig 2 is pretty now too . I think the ballistix tracer ones usually have a better CAS than the non tracer-ballistix variety too, could be wrong on that though I'd have to look. Of course they're a little more expensive, cause you know it costs alot for them to add LED's lol, luckily the shop I go to knows me real well, and gave me a good price on them.

Good luck with whatever you get. I was kinda joking too KDR no problem , just pitching you s&@t . I know you wanted more info, my post was kinda general and uncertain lacking detail. I think some people can actually get a good OC from 1GB sticks if they're lucky and it's good ram. But I think 4 512's is better in general and people usually have better luck with it for a good overclock. That's what I'd get anyway if I needed 2GB.
