Firstly memory clock for the 6600GT = 900-1000MHZ and for the
9600XT = 500-600MHz.
That 9600 XT = 4 pipelines and the 6600GT = 8 pipelines.
That's make the 6600GT LOT better than that 9600XT.

So for under $200 you would say the 6600GT is the best? I saw one just like it but with 256MB but it was over $200 but would that be much better than this one? It is the exact same just more memory.

I would not buy that one over 200$ . It's almost the same.

Ok, I think I am going to get that 6600GT, but what company should I go with? PNY has it for $139 on newegg, XFX has it for $142 on that site you gave me. Really I guess it comes down to which one has the best cooling system on it and known for better durrability.

I would go with XFX they have the best warranty and the box is cute .

By the way get your 6600GT XFX here : http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...1824&CatId=318

Kewl, and one last question. What is this Arctic Silver 5 stuff? I take it that it is some type of cooling gell? How do you use it on a graphic card?

I dont think you will need it. It's a grease that will get you 10 degrees colder. You will have to take the heatsink off and apply it.

AS5 is thermal compound. It gets the heat from your CPU or GPU to the heatsink. It fills in tiny pits between the two.
