I think the 360 will jump BIG from March on when they have enough consoles and everything for EVERYONE....

Did you know it cost Microsoft to make the Xbox just about as much as Sony to produce the PS3?
Why do you think they released so few xbox's at the beginning, and all of a sudden they stopped producing them for over one month? (Tip: They didn't run out of material if that's what you're thinking...)

I'll leave you to answer those questions on your own. I hope you(all people) have enough sense not to post back with a Microsoft extremist mentality.
Edited - Vulcan Sony has a long history of shoddy products and stupid market decisions. I wouldnt be the least bit surprised if the PS3 was less powerful than the 360 and the Revolution.

And we all know that the RSX is the 90nm version of the G70, with the same clocks as the 7800GTX 512MB. The 512MB version of the GTX is faster than the R520, but only about 10-20% faster. The Revolution will use a 32-pipleline version of the R520 which will make it nearly twice as powerful as the 16- pipeline X1800XT. The Revolution may, in fact, have the most powerful GPU of the three systems.

Yeah.. the N64 was fun until I hit puberty. the only memorably adult games for n64 was goldeneye and turok 2. Thats about it for me...

I hate the MK series, KI, Perfect Dark and 3/4s the stuff Rare makes. Other than that I cant remember any good N64 older oriented games.

Ummmm I thought the ps3 RSX was a G71... because thats what most online news places are suggesting...

Also I would have to say imo that its a 100% negative that the nintendo will be the best system graphically. granted nintendo is cutting corners around other system specs like the processor...but still if they are still aiming for the revolution to be only $200 at launch then there has to be some gimmick some where in the graphical capabilities

Oh my. You are badly mixing up stock shares and [/b]market[/b] share. These are two entirely different things.

People don't give a company stock; the company itself issues the stock during in an initial public offering (IPO). This turns the company from a privately held company, where the company answers to no one but itself; to a publicly held company, where it has to answer to its stockholders (because they own a small portion of the company). Companies do this to raise large sums of money.

The number of shares of stock that exist generally stays constant. That's why the price of stock goes up and down: it is a scarce resource, and there is value in owning a pirce of a company. The better the company is doing, the more the stock is worth. (The number of outstanding shares does change in two instances: a) the company decides to issue more stock to raise more money, which dilutes the existing pool of shares; or b), there is a stock split or reverse split, which simply changes the number of shares without changing the overall value of anyone's point-in-time holdings.)

Market share is simply the percentage of customers that use your product vs. your competitors product. This is what I think you meant to talk about, because Microsoft definitely is trying to get increased market share by launching the X360 before the PS3. This is fairly common knowledge.

I will be glad to talk more about stocks and such, but we need to take it to the Off Topic forum to do so.

The rumors I read a few months ago actually hinted (because they are based on speculation, of course) that the per-unit loss of the PS3 actually is greater than the loss on X360 units. Regardless, Sony is less capable of absorbing the loss even if they are the same. It is not as flush with cash as Microsoft is.

According to Microsoft, that's exactly what happened. Unless there is evidence to the contrary, I see no reason to disbelieve them. Parts shortages were the reason the PS2 was so scarce at its launch as well. When I bought my 6800 GT video card, they were as rare as unicorns. New components are simply scarce when they are new.

What about the duke nukem series, and the vigalante 8 series. There were also many other racing games out for the n64. I just found this out not too long ago but did you guys know the 64 part meant Nintendo 64 bit. They must have been really scarce on names or something. (even though they had a few names nemises, nexus, etc)

Please don't dodge the main point of my post... what I was saying (And I hope you got the main idea) about market shares was not incorrect, perhaps you need to read up some more before making posts like that. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Market%5Fshare)

I haven't taken maketing classes but I know just enough to make points. The more Microsoft sells means the more marketing shares they get. More sales obviously means they have a good, popular item in their production line. When they see the company has good products to offer they would invest in the company's shares, thus giving the company more money to play with. That is what some think Microsoft is doing; trying to get as many sales as possible then "running out of material", so they can fix the problem and release it later, having no affect on popularity, while increasing sales at the same time.

If Microsoft really has a problem with the xbox 360, the large percentage of it will emerge after Christmas day when all those people open up their presents to find a faulty Xbox.

I don't think having Wikipedia as a source is the best course of action to prove a point. It's updated by users and the information you see is based on your faith that whoever typed it knew what they were talking about. Just recently Wikipedia has been under the spotlight because of some information that implicated a man in the Kennedy asassination and the information was completely false.
