is there any senors out there that tell you of temp setting on North brdge---------or south and also DIMM and last but not least Hard Dick and if not a sensor maybe a motherboard or maker. plz help thanks

lrk322 you can get yourself 5-1/4" bay drives like the digidoc or various Hardcano drive bay devices which can monitor temperatures with thermistors. If you want something accurate, you can pick up Fluke/Omega/UEI digital thermocouple thermometers on eBay for pretty cheap as well.

Many harddrives actually have internal temperature sensors - not the most accurate, but Motherboard Monitor should be able to read them. If not, you will need a probe. The northbridge would also need a probe.

...external (of the motherboard) themperature sensors are the only way to go be them case mounted or seperate.

I will never trust another motherboard sensor, or monitoring software to that matter.

Same here .. sometimes I get 31C and the thing is boiling hot and other times it says 52C and when i touch it I almost get frost bite !

Ok little exaggeration here but . Buy a probe !

download everest home edition it will give u temps for mobo,cpu,gpu,gpu ambient, and hard DISK temp. attached is a screen capture of how it looks like

Well that's cetainly a bit rough. It's not that software lies intentionally but software readings are notorious for being off. It's useful for taking general temps but if you want something a bit more accurate (and this can be argued), an external thermometer is probably more handy.
