Yeah, those seem to be the only reason to buy any nintendo system. So.. Yeah what is your point about relying on games? and yeah... Nintendo's graphics are still going to suck comparatively.

So umm.. I really dont see whats so great about the PPU being in the NR anyways. I mean granted the system would be absolutely horrible if it didnt... so yeah..

I mean, they way the franchises are going now there doesn't seem to be much hope for Nintendo. There has been no good mario game since 64. Metroid is better off as a side scroller, not some FPS. And Legends of Zelda's only hope seems to be Twilight Princess. All of these games are classics, and in my opinion what Nintendo has been spitting out recently does not even compliment how great they where.

Sure the Revolution may re-invent the way to play a game (in other words a gimmick) But I hardly think that it will make up for the titles that continuously become degraded with every release.
Horrible? ***? It has a R520 based GPU. So by saying that you say the R520 sucks. Nintendo has the most loved franchise's besides Final Fantasy. Hell, Peter Moore says if theres one thing he wanted it would be Mario...

Nintendo has very good 3rd party support "this time around" anyways, so whatever. You can say "oh it sucks blah blah", but thats just being biased.

But... A gimmick? Excuse me? What was that? How is it a gimick? And just to say Nintendo makes a profit off of everything it makes and poduces, so if you think Nintendo is hard pressed for money and resources; they arnt.

Obviously you have not seen the latest specs released by IGN.

http://revolution.ign.com/articles/673/673799p1.html

Here is alittle snippet of what they said.

Quote:
In yesterday's article, we wrote that Revolution would include 128MBs of RAM, or possibly less. Developers have clarified the makeup based on officially released Nintendo documentation. Revolution will build on GameCube's configuration of 24MBs 1T-SRAM and 16MBs D-RAM (40MBs) by adding an addition 64MBs of 1T-SRAM. The result is a supply of memory in Revolution that totals 104MBs. That number does not consider either the 512MBs of allegedly accessible (but hardly ideal) Flash RAM or the Hollywood GPU's on-board memory, said to be 3MBs by sources.

Revolution's Broadway CPU, developed by IBM, is an extension of the Gekko CPU in GameCube, according to official Nintendo documentation passed to us by software houses. The Hollywood GPU, meanwhile, is believed to be an extension of the Flipper GPU in GameCube. Since developers have not gone hands-on with the GPU, they can only go on Nintendo documentation, which is limited.

Exact clock rates were not disclosed, but one development source we spoke to had this to say of the Revolution CPU and GPU: "Basically, take a GameCube, double the clock rate of the CPU and GPU and you're done."
So yeah.. Grossness.

And yeah.. I tend to take Epic's stance toward nintendo. They lost the market in Japan to Sony, they lost the market in north america to a mix of Microsoft and Sony... So yeah... I really think that there are going to be alot of gimmick games for the Nintendo which will feature useless gameplay. And yeah.. last time I checked.. Epic was the masters of making uber games..

Good for Peter Moore if he wants to be Mario... I want to Char Aznable, but does that mean anything in an argument about mobile suit gundam? No.

The point I was making about the franchises of nintendo is that they are losing the shine they once had. Every mario game I have seen has been gross, and the best mario game I have played has been Mario RPG (Made by Square) There hasn't been a good metroid game since Super Metroid, and the last good Zelda was OoT. They arn't going anywhere with their franchises at all, I don't care about Mario Ultimate Frisbee or Smash Brother OMG***BBQ Edition. Bring new light into the games instead of coming up with gimmicks are repeating titles with repetative gameplay.

You need to get this state of mind out of your head that "Nintendo is the angelic innocent game developer" Because thats just being niave to think that nintendo is 100% about making the games. Its a business.

Theres no real proof that its true. Someone could just "say" that they have seen official documents, when they really havent.

This is like a repeat of Sander Sassen and the X1800 article

See, extensions.. So what then? "One development source"... Hahaha.. Sounds like the tabloids. They say a "undiclosed source close to the family..."... Yeah they dont exist and they just make it up. And the 7800's are just "extensions" of the 6800's and see how much better they are.

Its just what we know of so far. How do you know that everything you know about the NR isn't a tabloid or a fallacy.

And if you read further into the article it talked about an unprobable extension of tapping into the flash memory, which would be ultimately slower.

Also if you read the article from the day before they reported talking to numerous gaming developers. And you would have to be an idiot to take that article at face value Jori, so stop assuming things.

I doubt it will use that, and from what i've read at other sites ive seen it with more memory. . Besides, I dont think that Nintendo wouldn't put enough memory in it for developers to not be able to work with it..

Oh no from what you have seen on other sites! It seems like you have caught yourself in a contradiction.

I am not believing that its true. But I do think there is more fact in what IGN has to report than rumors on nobody news sites.
