it could be unstable, i use memtest and prime95. to do a basic stability test, do memtest until 100% ram tested, or even 200%. if thats fine, then try priming. if each work, then it should be relatively stable.. relatively... unreal tournament was my stability test, if everything wasnt perfect, it would shut down. id just try those two programs. my firefox sometimes crashes the computer when its unstable. or it could have been a coincidence....

ram timings are good, but if 2.65 is stock ram voltage, i would up it to 2.8 (which is what mine is set to) and the 1.5v vcore is low, mine is running right now at 1.65v, and im stable at 2.65ghz. my timings are looser, at 3-4-4-8. my FSB is 294, and my multiplier is 9x. on my mobo, the HT multiplier is 3x, yours should be 3x also. if you have socket 939, use this to calculate: FSB*X = <1000. try to keep the FSB times the HT multiplier under 1000. this might help you a little, as far as i know the venice can handle over 1.65v vcore. im wondering exactly how much over tho, ive heard anywhere between 1.65 and 1.75, depending on temperatures and cooling methods

Damn, I put in my other kit in (2gb) and I couldn't run 250HTT w/ timmings of 3-4-4-8 vdimm 2.85 and I couldn't boot

if you want to use all the ram, id advise putting it all in, then overclocking it from there. if one set of ram is stable and the other isnt, there's no point, unless you're content with using only the stuff thats stable at higher clocks.
