Ok, I recently mounted the aforementioned mobo on to my system. The comp booted, and then would do a memory test. Moving on, it would go to a page showing all drives and etc. Then it would say something like, "Windows failed to start successfully" blah blah blah. It gives me the choice to start normally, last working config (BIOS wise), Safe mode, or safe mode with networking. So I tried normal. No luck. Tried both safe modes to no avail. So I go in to the BIOS setup and see that it tries to boot a floppy in a 3 device start up list first. I do not have a floppy drive, so I changed the 3 device boot up to Hard Drive/CDRom/Disabled. Tried it again. All options on start up are bust. So I try CDRom/Hard Drive/Disabled. Once again, my plan falls through. So I do the manual's troubleshooter. No booting past the windows failed screen. I was really starting to anger. I ran through all the motions in the manual to set up my system correctly. Neigh. It did not work. So I loaded system optimized defaults. Nada. I loaded fail-safe defaults. Nien. So anyone know ANYTHING about this problem? It would sure be a hootnany if anyone could possible supply a solution or a step to a solution. If you need more system info, just ask. Also all parts are in working order, CPU, PSU, Ram, etc. because I had to remount my old mobo, which is how I am typing this.
