Winlogon.exe trying to connect to America's Most Wanted's site.

I have Windows XP Pro
Zonealarm Security Suite

Recently I noticed that Winlogon.exe has been trying to to connect to America's Most Wanted's website (amw.com). I have added amw.com to the BLOCKED zone but it still tries to connect, unsuccessfully.

This is so odd! I ran a complete antivirus and antispyware scan but it is still happening.

Windows logon has internet rights, but I just blocked it and am waiting to see if this is still happening.

Does anyone have ANY ideas about why Windows would be trying to connect to America's Most Wanted...I don't beliave I have done anything wrong.

Is this part of the Patriot Act or something more sinister?

The winlogon.exe file is located in the c:\\windows\\System32 folder. If it is anywhere else it is Spyware! Use zonealarm to locate the Winlogon.exe thats causing this. I can almost guarantee its not the Genuine XP Winlogon.exe in the system 32 folder.

Yeah, I'd try to expand an original copy of the file from your Windows CD and replace the one that is there. If it is a virus, that should get rid of it. You may have to do it using DOS, however...

What kind of a virus would want to connect to amw.com ? Maybe amw.com doesn't know they've been infiltrated...

Hrm.
