Artifact question!!

i got a geforce 5500 and i got it oced to 370/505..i play CS 1.6 and everytime i started a new map it would artifact very badly for about 10 secs..and it would be find after that!!

i would go to play the map again and it would be fine..just when i started it for the first time after i oced..like breaking it in or something..

help is greatly appreciated..and reps for ya!!

Maybe drop your mem to 500 instead of 505, I find that usually if your CORE is too high the card will crash/game locks up/overheats but too high of a MEM clock by just 1-2MHz can cause severe artifacts, so try that.

Thats some pretty high clock speeds for the 5500. I would try 350/500.

Edit\\\\ Stock speeds are 250/400 right? Yeah the memory at 505 is what worries me.

You could also set up your ATI tool hotkeys which allow you to lower your core/memory clock and or profile with the press of a button!

Also, try a different driver and see if it fixes your issues.
No more AMD 3500+
