Mentioned to the "Mac" guy in my Server 2008 class that all the Mac's in the digital arts lab had dual cpu's. He said of couse,all Mac's have dual cpu's,I asked for some more info,Heres how it went.
OSX forces any application to use all (in this case it would be 8 cores) its not an application thing (like with a PC) but an OS technique.
Can anyone add to the technique used by the Mac OS in regards to managing the cpu's? (as you can tell all I do with mac's is use them in class), they are dual 2.8 Xeon 4gb DDR2 800mhz machines).
I also wondered why the slower memory with the Mac.
