Where do u get peltiers?

Thread Starter
peltiers seem pretty cool!

so i was wondering: where can you get them? preferrably somewhere local anywhere in ottawa or a trustable online CANADIAN store

and what kind of PSU do you need for this? and can you just buy the pelt or does it come with a fan.

thanks guys!

Apparently FrozenCPU ships to Canada...international. Huh.

You'd better have water or a pelt will add so much heat you wouldn't know...you'll need the 226w at the LEAST, so you'll be cooling off around 300W of thermal dissipation... Bad@ss cooling is a must...

You'll most likely need a dedicated PSU for the pelt - an average system pulls maybe 226w on idle. A single pelt pulls that much, too. Look for 25+A on the 12v line.

Well, I haven't seen any Canadian sites, but some others probably know of some. As to a PSU, you need a separate one, preferably with high amps on the 12 rail, as it's crucial to have a big one to power it at full capacity.

What he said, if you insist on going with TECs, you can pick them up at Bigfoot Computers (they're in Toronto, they ship as well). That's the only place I can think of at the moment...
