ATI AIW 9600XT or PNY 5700VE??

which card would be the better card? i get better framerates with my 9600 but on some games the nvidia looks better. i would keep my nvidia cuz it has 256mb of video ram but it still lags alot. i dunno y either. but which do u guys think is better?

Get the 9600XT. Its better than the FX series by quite a bit. Mine can run just about any game on high settings...well at 1024x768 but thats still a decent resolution.

LOL... its most of the 5200's and a lot of the 550's that are crap. But the higher end fx are pretty decent. I have a 5700 PC agp8x in one of my comps and it runs great.

When it comes down to that. That is really personal preference. If a person runs linux/unix then ati = no good.

the DX9 part is true. when i play Half-Life 2 with my 5700ve it says hardware version is direct x 8.1 but with my 9600xt it is direct x 9
