evga warranty?

my friend put arctic silver on his 6800gt agp about a year ago, and now its starting to glitch up like mad when hes in windows, but never in games. he needs to know if by putting as on his card does it void warranty?

No it doesnt. Luckily he was smart and bought eVGA. Even putting diffferent HSF doesnt void warranty.

The new warranty policy came into effect in June or July of 2005, and your friend obviously bought it before then if he put the fan on it a year ago, so I think he's screwed...

Unless your friend puts the original fan and heatsink back on and makes it look like he never installed a third-party fan...
