Astek Vapochill Micro

I was wondering if any of you guys have tried this out.

I was thinking about getting it and am wondering what your input is.

From what I hear, the Tt Big Typhoon owns that cooler to the max.

WHat? no freakin way- well i guess depending on the CPU- my amd 4000 (SD) dropped to 19-21C / how ever the FX57 runs HOT!, well i guess it depends on where the hot spots on the Processor is.

19°c-21°c is Well below the average room temperature. That doesnt make sense. With perfect air cooling i would expect it to be somwhere around 30°c
And that is for idle temps. What is your thermostat set at in your house? 10°c [50°f]?

no what happens is - the liduid/gas in the vapo chil evaporates and condensates inside the vapochill (completly sealed) at lower temps (supposed to be below room temp - my thermostate in the house is set for 80farenheit) - hits the proc consistantly, thats why its a pretty good cooler - the only issue is if the hot spots are past the silver dollar size heat sink at the bottem. - check it out at www.asetek.com. it makes since and works great for most procs. *sorta like thermo electrical principal except the heat is what makes the heat on the heatsink rise and the cold liquid/gas stay down* 19-21degrees is idel 25-29/30degreese is full load but oc to 2.9 Vcore 1.6*

You must be talking about a different vapochill.

Not the micro, the micro is still air cooling. Air cooling doesnt go below ambient.

As have I. Ive seen several reviews of it,needless to say,I wasnt impressed. Its definitely not as good as they claim it to be.

Just get an XP-120 or equivalent.

i read the article that you posted, and i for one, can see how that works. its just using the fins and fan to cool the gas enough for it to condense the gas back to a liquid, the liquid then falls back down to the CPU core, and gets heated up enough to change phases back to gas, then rises (cycle is always repeating) so its not just a air cooler, it should cool to a bit below normal aircooling, that making sense? anyway, if it were me, i would try it, its cheaper than the typhoon and could work better... just my 2 cents..
