A8N-SLI DLX motherboard question

Thread Starter
I have the A8N board, and i have an antec true power 550 watt powersupply. I try to run Call of Duty 2 and after a few minutes my computer shuts down. I was told by my friend that knows alot more about computers than i do, that the power supply that i own does not fare well with the dlx motherboard.
I did replace my chipset fan once already, my friend took a fan from another power supply. Im wondering if that is the source of my problem.
When i resart my comp, after the reboot, there is an error message about my Nvidea graphics card.
I dont know why this is, considering that i just bought the geforce 7800GTX.
Im wondering if there is a better power supply for my motherboard, if that is my problem, i want to get this fixed asap since i have yet to experiance the fullness of the 7800 GTX, any help, thanks

Please take a few minutes to fill in your full system specs by going to the User CP linked at the top left corner of every post. Especially when dealing with power issues, it's helpful to know every component in your system. I have no heard of any issues between that PSU and that mobo (or mobo manufacturer). Does your friend have any links to info relating to the issues?

In short, sure there are better power supplies on the market, but that one should run your system well. It has lots of amps and is SLI certified, so it should run most systems rather well (I wouldn't necessarily want it for a SLI 7800GTX system with a high overclock...it's very good but not necessarily that good.)
