Thanks all.

Just one morequestions....im addicted to OCING now I think!

1. On CPUZ, when I go onto the memory tab, it records my memory channel as dual, as in print preview below.
Yet when I go onto the SPD tab, my memory is in slot 1 and 2. If it is dual, should they not be in slot 3 and 4.

According to my mobo manual, I have placed them in 1 and 3 - but why does CPU 'beg to differ'.

Thanks

Here's an interesting article to read (if you have time) concerning the meaning of dual channel memory (check out page 3)

Quote:
Dual channel memory utilizes two funnels (and thus two pipes) to feed data to the processor, thereby being able to deliver up to twice the data of the single funnel. With two funnels or channels, data is transferred 128 bits at a time.

According to my mobo manual, I have placed them in 1 and 3 - but why does CPU 'beg to differ'.

I'm not sure I got the meaning of what you said. On which slots did you install the two modules ?
Do you mean that your mobo manual recommends that you place them on slots 1 and 3 for them to work in dual channel mode ?
What about CPU beg to differ ? What did you mean by that ?

Again, check pages 7 and 8 of the same pdf file (section 5.0 Enabling Dual-Channel Memory)

According to mobo manual, dual chaneel slots are 1 + 3, and 2 + 4

I have installed them in slot #1 and #3. Yet CPUZ, shows them in slot#1 and #2.

Confusing????

Hope you can help

Thanks

Get the latest version of cpuz 1.3.1 @ http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpu-z-131.zip
Older versions have been reported to have some bugs.
