Nope, it just tries to simulate the real world as close as possible... It just happens to be extremely computationally expensive to perform.

So is there aversion of this that can be used to modd existing games? To switch the existing rendering api over to this one? That would be worth two Nvidia purchases for sli.

Now that we have tessellation w/dx11 the only thing we are missing from having photo realistic graphics in games is Ray Tracing.

I'll go as far as saying lighting plays a bigger role photo realism than polygon count or resolution.

i agree, however we are NOWHERE near the power we will require for this in realtime

u know i dont know if they already do this but i can imagine the next biggest and most gpu intensive stuff will be 3D textures, if they make them, imagine 3D textures + ray tracing.... holy hell
