Machine 1 is back up and running

Alright, so, I was suprised at how big the box came from Gibson was. 41lbs of pure goodness. Well, after taking it down to the basement, and trying to open the atomic bomb that was most likely wrapped inside due to all of what looked like a tape box. It took me no less then 5 minutes to get the box open, and close to another hour or two of trying to get all the hardware out of the wrappings that it was in.

So after a bit of tweaking, testing hardware, and trying to figure out passwords (cough gibsonnova71 cough), I finally got machine 1 of 2 back up and running.

What it is doing right now:
Running the CPU SMP program
Running 4 GPU clients on 4 8800GS Alpha Dogs.

Machine 2 will be up and running once these things happen:
  • I get back from my trip
  • I order a couple Cat5e cables so I can attach them to my network
  • Clear off the shelf that I originally cleared off which is now piled with packing equipment.

LOL, my question to you is this. Did it get there with no damage? I work in shipping, I see everyday, what can and does happen to freight. I always keep this in mind when I ship. You ever see that movie Ace Ventura Pet Detective? At the beginning when he is pretending to be a delivery guy, he is walking down the street playing soccer with the package. That's what I imagine will happen to my package, so I pack it accordingly!!

Well, other then the box being a little shook up. Nothing is/was damaged as far as I could tell.

I can't get the system specifications right at the moment, as for some reason, I can no longer VNC into my home computer. Will have to wait till I actually get home.

Systems Specs are as followed:

Machine 1

Everything else that was not listed is stock. It is sitting on top of an audio receiver with electric tape and fans placed below it, placed on removable tray from an old Toshiba case.

I sorta mixed and matched hardware from the previous Machine 1 and 2. Cause the OS was already preinstalled to a specific motherboard, it is an OEM license. In which case, for machine 2, if it doesn't work, I will be donating a Windows 7 OS towards the cause and using it. Which will be full retail so we won't worry about this in the future.
