$70-$80 is the sweet spot for 500W PSUs. I recommend this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...k=s12ii%20520w
Outperforms the Corsair VX550W, especially in the ripple department. Excellent unit for the price.

The TX750 is $86.99 after $20 rebate with EMCYRZP77 code, but I realize that's over your budget.

Thanks for the nice suggestion. I will think about it. Do you know a place where I can get the same psu for less/free shipping? And any suggestions that are modular?

How about this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139005

It's $86 after shipping, non-modular, and isn't a spectacular performer. It's still a good PSU, but there are ones that better fit your needs.

The M12II series is the modular version of the S12II I linked you too.

Newegg seems to have the lowest price at the moment. I don't know why the shipping charge is there, I hate it too.

I would rather get the M12II version because it is only $10 more, but the $80+$10 shipping+ tax is killing me. I would love that psu though. Maybe just save up money since a psu is an investment that will last me through a couple builds.

That's what I'd do. Another $20-$30... Can't take too long to save up.

Email Corsair, maybe they'll upgrade you to the 1000W.

Do you need PoP if you RMA a corsair psu? I'm thinking of getting a used one and need to know. Thanks.
