Vista SP3? what are you smoking...
And I realized I hadn't updated my Server sig rig for half a year.
The reason it had Vista to begin with was because I didn't have a licens to another XP and used a non registered Vista instead.

EDIT: Hmm realized I had to update my laptop's sig also. As soon as W7 was released as RC I switch so that my laptop finally could be used.

Windows 7 , I have it, I had Vista, Windows 7 changed as much as installing SP1 did, hence why I refer to it as SP3.

Oh but Vista will not be as good as 7 in a LOOONG time and by that Vista may have cought up with Windows 7 RC performance while the RTM 7 had leaped forward even more.

Vista? MP3's? IPv6? Clearly this man is insane. Jack Wallen needs to be sterilized and catapaulted into space for the sake of our unborn children.

7: Richard Stallman

This man was supposed to be the champion of open source — but he endangers open source at every turn. Instead of making ridiculous claims, RMS should stand down and let someone with a modicum of tact and sense to take over as the voice of open source software.
open source != Free Software

Quote:
Jack Wallen was a key player in the introduction of Linux to the original TechRepublic. Beginning with Red Hat 4.2 and a mighty soap box, Jack had found his escape from Windows. It was around Red Hat 6.0 that Jack landed in the hallowed halls of TechRepublic.
I say the biggest failure in this "news" article is TechRepublic, if their introducer to the open source world knows so little of his "world" and is allowed to write rubbish like this I blame the people putting there name at the top and endorsing it... plus OCN could seriously re-look what they consider to be news... because this IMO is not news...

1: Windows Vista

Not a flop, any performance comparisons I've seen since SP1 have been pretty good, and I used it for two years and had zero issues.

2: NeXT

So NeXT wasn’t a complete flop.
3: BeOS

Quote:
BeOS has been resurrected as Haiku
4: Cobalt Qube

umm...nothing bad happened, and that means it was a failure?

6: MP3

I know, I know — it isn’t a flop
7: Richard Stallman

A person can be a failure? And even, one of the top 10 failures in IT history?

8: WordPerfect

WordPerfect was an outstanding word processing tool.
9: IPv6

Y2K all over again.
10: Mesh networks

It sounded like a great idea...It was a grand idea, based on a grand ideal, but it just never got off the ground.

So your conclusion is that he needs more Joggawatts and truth. Right Doc?
