They can't have it say 75Hz, but secretly it only works on some resolutions. They need to specify that. I imagine it was a big selling point for OP.
No LCD monitor at 1680x1050 (and above) can run a refresh rate higher than 60Hz. At least in my experience with 4 that I've had, and friend's monitors. This isn't anything new with LCDs, and certainly isn't false advertising. You just have to read up on how LCDs work. So it's pointless returning the monitor. Return it for what, another

are like this. It's why 120Hz LCDs are all the rave, because they actually can
