Ouchie, use ATI Tools to check your clocks. If everything seems normal. Go back to your store.

I had a problem like this far back in the best with a GF2 64mb (Hey, I did say far back in the past ). It was simply a defected product. Warranty got me a new one.

How are your cpu and mobo temps? You can always rma it and see if a different card has the same problems.

Yo, Pop out some of the PCI SLOT COVERS to allow for increased airflow. That card is powerful and does emit alot of heat. Try the Arctic Cooling solutions. They vent the hot air out instead of letting it go up to your processor where it can heat things up! Or Keep your case with one side open. Or pop all the back pci slots and stick a fan either blowing in or out. Experiment and keep whichever works best. Blowing out SHOULD work best. But nothing beats having no side on your case! Hope this helps.

Something might be funky. Is the fan running at full speed? How hot does the heatsink feel? It might be something with ati tool?
