Computer locking up at stock

My computer is acting as if I have overclocked to much, but its running at stock! It is unstable, and will lock up randomly. Now, I can't even get all the way into windows. My pump is dieing, and it has locked up due to overheating before, but the BIOs says the CPU is running at normal temps. *** is going on with my computer? Is is posible that when the CPU overheated it became damaged and is now unstable at stock speeds? (It ran at over 70c for serveral minuts before I noticed that it was running hot)

Try running Memtest to rule out the RAM being an issue. I've tinkered with some systems that wouldn't run at stock without a notch or two of vdimm, though that seems unlikely since yours ran fine in the past. A Northy at 70°C is definitely not the best of things. Perhaps try underclocking it a bit to see if that'll get you into Windows.

Thank you for your response Taeric!! The problem has been getting worse. It use to be that it would randomly lock up and I would have to reset it, but then it started locking up more and more and now I cant even get into windows. I am working on my laptop now. I have orderd a Big Typhoon to replace my water cooling system just to rule that out compleetly. If that doesnt work, I will run Memtest. If the hardware seems fine, I will reload Windows. If it still does it, I will through my computer out the window and go back to pen and paper, lol.

UPDATE: I just installed my Bid Typhoon. Windows has loaded up, and seems to be running fine. I am still going to keep the computer at stock untill I am sure the problem is gone.
