Tips on awping - Page 3

The awp isnt a noob gun guys its essential if you want own!
Some_Idiot2, why not buy a helmet? You need a helmet or else single headshots from aks and m4s will take you right out. Definately buy a helmet.
To no scope, just move the gun tip down about 2 inches and to the right 2 inches and the crosshair will be on them, shoot. No scoping with the awp is very inaccurate though so dont be surprised when you miss. No scoping with the scout is a lot better.

BigVal, I was talking about if you had the AWP and some guy surprised you in a room or at close range.

Not GUARANTEED but yes it is very likely, especially at close range.

When firing you have to be completely still otherwise the shot will be off, as for aiming well...thats just down to practice really.

Whilst you are strafing and need to take a shot tap the opposite direction of your strafe, this'll make you come to a complete stop otherwise you'll glide to a stop which is still movement and bad for sniping.

I used to be rather good witha scout and never really used awp much I just felt dirty after using it and cried.

well strafing depends on what server your playing on, the OC.net server or some cal match server. Just a few tips are, never run directly at an AWP and pick the shortest route to the awp if you have a SMG or a rifle. There is no good way to doge bullets that is proven to work... Also i dont suggest jumping much, it slows you down and the landing is very predictable for an awp or a rife. And that is called spamming when people randomly hit you through the box.... btw, dont assume a person hacks when they cant see you....

Ok, my problem is usually aiming literally 1-3 pixels off and shooting...should I try another mouse sensitivity? I've been playing cs for like forever, so maybe I just don't own the scout/awp handling yet.

By the way, there is NO gun in cs that sucks (well...); don't shun anything because you don't know how to use it. Either find your own weapon, or learn.

Haha, What I love is when you have a scout and your versing an awp. Especially on DeDust2 In the pit, and the awp's by say bombsite A. Your strafing like hell getting "boom headshot!"s while the awp has to stay in one spot! LOL I love the scout personally. It's way faster to shoot, and you can move with it and still be fairly accurate! Only tip I can give for the awp is crouch, And try not to move when you shoot! Also, Aim for the torso, screw the head! It's an awp dammnit! 1 hit kill!

m4 pwns.

I don't mind it when people use the awp, its when they use it round after round after round, it gets kinda tedious. I'm just learning so when people start awping, or if I'm getting my ass handed to me, I can fight back, instead of uselessly running around with an m4 trying to hit an awper across the map.
