What does good in F.E.A.R.?

Thread Starter
i need a card that will do good with f.e.a.r. with the following settings:

1024x768 at least (usually don't play any higher)
dx9 shaders (dx8 are forced right now)
medium-max tex resolution
volumetric lights on
shadows on
light detail medium
effects, water rez, reflections and displays: max (its on that right now)
anisotropic 2x at least
MAYBE antialiasing (if the card is good enough)

would a 6600 LE be sufficient?
there is a 6800 *256* for 199$ canadian i am looking at
or a plain 6600?

i don't mind if the FPS drops down to 25 every once in a while in open areas...

thanks for the advice guys!!

god i hope the 6800 i'm looking at stays on special until i get money for christmas to buy it!!!!

well this card has lasted me since may, and it was already crap
a 6600le (unlocked) would last me i'd say about a year
a 6800 (also unlocked) about 2 years if i don't get a job

I been playing FEAR.
Its fun, but multi-player,,, boy those peps that play it are good.

I used to be in a clan on Rogue Spear and the people who play fear RAPE me.

Its tuff.

I wish more people would play it on multiplayer though....

I am not sure if there are other hosts out there that are better, but I just click the multiplayer icon on fear and it takes me to a selection of servers where others host.
