For future games? Maybe at very low settings.

Building a futureproof rig with that kind of budget is difficult. That setup will be able to play games though, just not as well as the games deserve. I honestly suggest you just save up another few hundred.

Get about 1200 and you can be "future proof" I dont exactly agree with the term but the extra money will help alot.

Well, 512MB of RAM is going to get you nowhere, Gigabyte boards are NOT good overclockers and you will only be able to run BF2 and COD2 on the lowest settings with your current setup. Get A DFI SLI board, at least a gig of pc3200 and a 6800GS.

I would recommend the MSI neo4-F for $10 more, and a better vid card.

And, BF2 and new games really need 1GB to run well; RAM is the best upgrade you can do for BF2. get the GSKILL 1GB DDR500 ram, it's only $110.

and SLI is a waste.

Most games don't take full advantage of SLI, and I wasn't telling him to get 2 GSes, I was jut telling him to get a good reliable mobo that just happens to be SLi.
