Recovering Files after Crash/Formatted Drive...

Thread Starter
I was wondering after a drive has had a crash, and then the partition is formated where important files were. Is it possible to recover these files even after the reformat of the hard drive?

There is always the possibility of recovering files, however it will take time and special tools depending on at which state the drive is currently in.

If the files are very important and valuable you can send it to a specialist for such recoveries, it will come down to how much these are worth to you and what budget is available for the recovery.

There are also simple tools, Norton's has such a tool but generally expects to be set up before the problem occurs.

Also have a look at this tool as well
