Help!! My Comp is stuck at 218fsb @ 1.45v !! Help

Thread Starter
Hi guys

i have been trying to overclock my 3.2 and havent been able to go past 3.5ghz.

When its at 218fsb/3.5ghz, its @ 1.45v. So, I figure thats my max cpu, and then I try to up the voltage, and it still doesnt boot. Even 218fsb @ 1.5v doesnt boot. How come?

You can check my screenies below. Can anyone suggest anything? Also, I disable Intel SpeedStep in my bios, but my comp still acts like it. The only reason CPU-Z shows my 3.5ghz and x16 multiplyer, is because i have Prime95 running in the background. Without Full Load, CPU-Z reads my cpu at 3.0ghz and x14 multiplyer.

I also have pci-e/pci at 100/33.3mhz

I havent touched ram yet, because im not sure how to.

If anyone can give me any ideas at all, I would really appreciate it. Thankyou

Try setting your Ram on a divider so that you know that isn't limiting you

if you have the same problem odds are its your ram as well. Most "value" ram doesnt like to run above what its rated at since his is 200mhz and hes running 218mhz now the ram is pretty much topped out. post a CPUZ screen of your memory and ill tell ya if your ram is being pushed to far.

My RAM is PC4300, rated to run at 266 Mhz, so it can't be the problem - I'm on a 1:1 divider

edit: but nevermind me, I don't want to steal jbusta's topic
