I have an Opteron 175 CCBWE 0543, I'm guessing that it isn't a "great" overclocker, It will only do 217x11 on stock voltages, but anything after that requires major changes in voltages. But, I haven't had too much time to tweak it.
Anyone have any info on the CCBWE 0543 175's that will help me out? I don't know if they are good oc'er's or not.

PS-I have stuff for sale on another forum that I would like to offer to this community, how do I get 75 rep points on here?

you have to simply help people out so they think you are helping them out.. they will then reward you with REP points... you could alternatively put what your selling in your sig.. (unless it is a ton of items...)

Hi,

I 've been using AMD power mon and Cool and quite to drop the cpu volts and freq when not under load. I've got a 10 percent volt overclock and an amd 4800 x2 running at a rock solid 2.7 gig hrz.

I was surprised I was able to uses cool and quite while over clocking with not issuses, is this common ?

Anyone else doing it ?

I don't know if this question has been asked before but I'm pretty sure it was, is dual core better in games than single core ? I know that some games don't fully support dual core but I mean overall ?

Yeah, I've been running C&Q on my x2 4400+ @ 2.53GHz with no problems, dual primed 12hours.

This is something i would like to know as well. Take the X2 4400+ for example. Each core runs at 2.2 ghz right? Would I notice any difference in games that are only using one core to my current processor?

Any point in getting any thing bigger than the 3800 X2? I'm waiting for the price drop and I was thinking of getting a 4600 X2, but then I've been seeing that they seem to OC to the same speeds. I was planning to run at 2.6GHz and I've seen many examples of both of them getting a max OC of 2.7GHz on air.

Why go bigger than the 3800? They both have the same L2 and run on the same watts. Think I will have trouble getting to 2.6 with the 3800?

I have a question about dual cores...What do they do? Do they split up the work? Is it really worth getting and should I wait and see?I must know! Also, is there an FAQ about this somewhere...HEY! If there isn't I could make one! But still, please answer my questions.
