I assume you have recent drivers and everything on rig 3? If VM is installed but not running will the gpu client work? What is the gpu problem? Very strange issue..
This weekend going to pull one from rig 1, if it works, going to order another or a 295. I can give the 9800+ to a friend who's gpu is going South for the winter.
It is a recent build, < 3 months, all drivers are up to date as far as I want them to be as some of the newer seem to be hokey with fahmon and folding. Come to think of it, may even try to update these drivers as they are different from the 275's.
With VM installed and not running, it did not work at all. It would reboot even with out any F@H client running. I uninstalled VM and it seems to be OK now with just the gpu client running. I checked the log and am getting a Kernal Power error 41-( 63 I think it was ).
All temps. look good with RealTemp. I am going to run Malware on it and see. Think it may also be time to put the real Win 7 on, it currently has the RC. Gotta love that TechNet subscription.
Oh, BTW when asked, I respond " Tech knowledge LOW" but I mess so much up and have to fix it that I am learning more every day.Edited by FlyingJJ - 12/9/09 at 7:11pm
