The smaller the better as long as the goods fit with decent air flow
The CM 690 is a mid tower and the for the PSU i'd have to reccomend a corsair psu such as the corsair HX-650.

OK i've updated list changed a few things to posibly allow me to unlock the extra cores.

All i need is a good cpu cooler that fits in the antec 300

A few to choose from here http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ath=207_23_312

I'd reccomend either the Thermalright TRUE, the scythe mugen 2 or the xigmatek dark knight. Choose whichever is within your budget and i think they will all fit in the antec 300 but someone other than me will know for sure.

Can anyone confirm that Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme Heatsink Rev. C fits in the

antec 300

i'd save cash and get a scythe mugen II or something else. that extra cash can be used to go into the GPU. that said it should fit with no issues: the antec 300 isn't exactly small

Ditch the 500 PSU for an 850.....

and DEFINITELY go with the 550.... if your board can handle it (has ACC)....the poster above is correct - everything we've seen is a 75% success rate with unlocking it. I just got mine a couple weeks back - works like a charm and I have it at 3.8 x4 now

500w should be heaps even unlocked i thought ?

850 powers my sig rig with oc'd cpu & gpu's

850w would just be overkill

If it unlocks i don't plan on any huge oc'ing either cpu or gpu

They are both mid tower. CM 690 probably has marginally better airflow but doesn't come with fans as far as I know.
