You give his XP 3200 system a 7 and my Sempron 64 @ 2.6 a 6?

I kill the XP 3200 in every aspect!
The A64 3200 is one step above the XP 3200 according to Sandra.

Maybe you're right. What does the extra "T" stand for?

HTT and HT are the same thing.

No matter what acronym you use, it is describing the FSB which is the link between you're CPUs memory controller and the RAM.

The HT or HTT multiplier (x3, x4, x5) will determine your overall bus speed.

thats what i was looking for. the HTT multiplier......but the HTT itself = LDT = FSB which doesn't = HT............eh well screw it, sempron 64's are low quality, and athlon 64 3200+'s are going to just start being OCing for a past time.......low ratings on both of them.........low low low. low ratings on anything besides a 3700+ sandy or higher.

HTT = HT (Hyper Transport)

The main reason to use the acronym HTT instead of HT is because it get's confused with Intel's Hyperthreading which is also referred to as HT.

EVEN in bios it says HT multi, then HTT for the LDT (FSB whatever the hell you wanna call it, i don't care). it don't matter really. and since this is an AMD discussion, i'd reckon everyone here knew what everyone else meant when we say HT and if HT and HTT were the same, why would they be given different labels in bios????????????????????????????????ERRR ok i'm done........

oh and the 3200 is a great as hell processor. i'd say its even better than the 3500 i got. i'm just sayin that its no 3700+ proc

Yeah, it's no 3700+....that's why they call it a 3200+

The 754 3200+ is 130nm and my Sempron is 90nm so it overclocks better, I hit the same speed as that guy up there with a multi of only 9. The only thing it beats me in is the L2 cache wich makes VERY little difference.

I knew I was right about HTT no Reps for you ;-)

The HT or HTT multiplier (x3, x4, x5) will determine your overall bus speed.
The HT is relative to the memorys retention with regards to the maximum safe factored bus speed
ie. An HTT of 200 x an HT of 5 = 1000MHz
The HT is adjusted accordingly to retain the overall bus speed so not to cause errors when surpassing aproxamately 1040.

Default 200x5=1000
In general...
201-250 reduce the HT to 4x
251-333 reduce the HT to 3x
