[Official] Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P Owners Club - Page 6

Yeah I was just curious, looked through some threads and found this. Amazing! I've had this board, as a first time Gigabyte owner, after jumping from Abit - Asus - DFI and back, and I'm so impressed. The build quality, just everything about this board was done right in my opinion.

ANNNNND..... Just realized its "FXT" not "FX" like I have. DDRIII. I only have II. My bad. Darn.

the big downside of these boards was the BIOS updates, not sure if that has changed because ive started to submit a lot of feedback....
and since the bugs on this boards go through the whole GB palette i expect that all the others will also see great improvements

here is the promised screeny of the torture test:

just noticed that there are a lot of 6 es in my settings

Sweet!
We have the same memory. I just ran Memtest 86+ last night at 7-7-7-21 and it passed.
What timings do you think I might be able to tighten it up to @1333?

Hey!

I have this motherboard and I would like to join the club.

Currently have Phenom II x4 965 Black Edition C3 @ 4Ghz with 1.5v

But I ordered a 1055T and I should have it next week.

Is it easy to reach 4Ghz on this board with the 1055T? I am worried because the F8K bios seems to be BETA :/

Hi i have a question.
My Friend's system:
CPU AMD x6 1055T
Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P
And he use OCZ DDR3 PC3-14400 / 1800MHz / Platinum Edition
And wondering about Corsair dominator GT 2000mhz 4GB kit. But i heard that amd works bad with mem clock of 2000mhz , so is it true ?
Or is there any limits by chipset ? As far as my friend has Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P i decided to ask you , users of this motherboard.
Is anyone from you tried 2000 mhz memory and how much the performance will increase ?
Thank you very much.

Joined the club, already have the X6 1055T running on the board @ 3.8Ghz

May I ask what is max safe temp for the NB?

I have NB @ 2.4Ghz and HT Link @ 2.2Ghz and the NB voltage at 1.2v, and it hits 55ºC-56ºC while doing full 100% stress on the cpu like Folding@Home, are those NB temps ok?

thats how my temperatures are looking today (folding), ambient is below 20° and i have 2x80mm fans blowing on the board... but my NB sensor(tmpin0) is inversed somehow... so i have no idea how warm that thing is.

do you have an extra fan blowing on the NB? also have you removed the blue aluminum covers from the blocks?
