looks like its quite a bit faster, especially with bigger data... would probably be nice to get this real stable but i tested enough for today:O

i did some more testing and the interleaving option definitely makes a difference with stability, but im not sure if its really possible to get it stable... i also tried to get more information on the memory drive strength and did some tests but im not fully understanding how to figure out what values to adjust and how. so im gona try to find that out before im gona try again to get the mem stable.

here is the best expalnation i found so far on DQS and Data drive strenght:
Code:
CKE Drive Strength (CkeDrvStren)—Bits 1–0.
This field is used to select the drive strength of the CKE pins.

CS/ODT Drive Strength (CsOdtDrvStren)—Bits 5–4.
This field is used to select the drive strength of the CS and ODT pins.

Address/Command Drive Strength (AddrCmdDrvStren)—Bits 9–8.
This field is used to select the drive strength of the address, RAS, CAS, WE, bank and parity pins.

MEMCLK Drive Strength (ClkDrvStren)—Bits 13–12.
This field is used to select the drive strength of the MEMCLK pins.

Data Drive Strength (DataDrvStren)—Bits 17–16.
This field is used to select the drive strength of the Data pins.

DQS Drive Strength (DqsDrvStren)—Bits 21–20.
This field is used to select the drive strength of the DQS pins.

Processor On-die Termination (ProcOdt)—Bits 29–28.
This field is used to select the resistance of the on-die termination resistors.
edit: found the amd pdf where everything is explained in case you are interessted http://support.amd.com/us/Processor_TechDocs/41256.pdf

editedit: im reading now through some of these pdfs from amd and i already found some interesting things. like this:
Code:
The DIMMs on each channel are numbered from 1 to
n where DIMM1 is the DIMM closest to the processor on that channel and DIMMn is the DIMM
farthest from the processor on that channel. DIMMs must be populated from farthest slot to closest
slot to the processor on a per channel basis.
not sure why in the GB manual its the other way around...
im gona compile my findings in a google doc so i can share it later.

got an other reply from GB:

Code:
Thank you for emailing GIGABYTE.
We are delighted with your interest in our products.

I have re-tested this issue with timing 7-7-7-24 this time; the system still can pass the stability test by EVEREST.
One hour and eight minutes. (The PCIe x 8 is a known nVidia & CPU-Z bug. nVidia driver reports x16.)

Please see below picture for reference.
Just for your information.

My BIOS setting:

BCLK: 250
CPU RATIO: x14
CPU NB Frequency: x8
CPB Ratio: x16.5
HT Link Width: 16 bit
HT Link: x8

My configuration:

Model: MA790FXT-UD5P
CPU: 1055T, 1090T (HDT90ZFBK6DGR)
BIOS: F8k
RAM: 2x OCZ3P1600LVAM4GK
OS: Win XP SP2
Device driver: By AMD 7 series driver DVD v2.2

seems they dont have stability problem unless everest stress sucks. i requested a RMA on the memory from OCZ, lets see what they have to say...

I don't think it's a RAM issue, else we would also have this problem at stock of 1055T and at 3.8Ghz...

Mine is fine, my only problem is at 4Ghz I can't make it above 1144Mhz...

However, I don't think it's a RAM issue.

i have the problem @ stock, i can not run this ram @ rated specs no mater what i do. and why would the exact same system as mine be able to run the ram speed when its not a ram problem?

Well that's weird, coz at stock or 3.8Ghz my RAM runs fine @ 1600Mhz at it's rated timings... But if I go to 4Ghz, it won't run above 1144Mhz...

well i will request further information on the settings they used and will test my ram again @ stock so i can get the RMA.
here is what i gona ask GB:
1. whats the Vdimm you used for the test?
2. whats the CPU-NB voltage you used?
3. can you run prime95 blend test and pass the 8k fft without problem?
4. have you changed any other voltages?
5. can you try it with windows 7 64bit?
6. which ram slots do you use?

anything i missed there?
