Which would be better? refresh rate Q

Thread Starter
Just got BF2 and a x-fi xmusic. Wow sounds great, looks even better.

I have a 17" monitor, big bulky bastard, but it looks nice. The highest res. it goes to is 1280x1024@60mhz . The lowest before that is 1280x960 ( or something) @ 75mhz . I've never used 960 i usually use 1024x800 or whatever @ 75mhz ( i can go up to 85 but see no need).

Which of these would provide better game play? Right now i've played for a few minutes at 1280 3 light settings on medium no AA and its pretty damn smooth and pretty as hell. Just wondering if i would notice an increase in performance if i lowered my res up the refresh and tacked on some AA.

Opinions welcome.

1280x1024 on 60hz is what I play on and I've never seen ANY flickering on my monitor at 60hz. I play it on everything high, 4x AA and textures on medium.

By deault i think it goes to 1280 X 960 on my comp as well. Thats what I have been running but i thiink you can edit the config file of the game and get a higher resolution.

No, but play with it if you want to find optumum settings.
Actually the human eye can only see up to 60mhz, a little higher setting only means possible faster fps depending on option setup. Ie smooth.. refresh. So having 70mhz is groovy.
