looks cool, but the amperage on the 12 volts is a little low...its got 5 more than mine stock, which is better...but it should be good enough

how much is it??

40 bucks? not bad...at new egg i just checked. might have to get me one...this raidmax might have problems on 3.3v...but it is better now, since i ditched the 7 case fans for 1 now...and it runs on 12v!!

EDIT: IS it good to have PFC?

Edit i can get the non PFC version for 58 bucks Aus so it seems a bit expensive from new egg but i think we should wait for someone with broader knowledge.

PFC is good.
Quote:
Power factor (PF) is the ratio of true power to apparent power where true power refers to power that's actually being consumed and apparent power is calculated by multiplying the voltage by the current being drawn. If voltage and current are out-of-phase, apparent power will be greater than real power. This is a common condition for circuits that contain capacitors and inductors—power supplies being a perfect example—and it results in a PF less than 1. PFC aims to bring voltage and current back into phase, raising the PF towards a goal of 1, where real power equals apparent power.
Taken from http://techreport.com/reviews/2004q4/psus/index.x?pg=1

I think all PSUs in Europe are now required to have PFC (either active or passive).

As for the PSU you mentionned. It's not bad but I asked around before buying mine and most people seemed to agree that Thermaltake is not very good when it comes to making psus. That's why I opted for Antec. Then again, it's all up to you and the budget you have but I don't think you'll be able to overclock a lot with only 18A on the 12V rail.
It should be fine if you only intend to run the 6800GS though on a non-overclocked system.

nugget,
If I'm not mistaken there are many psus on that page. Exactly which one are you referring to ?
Here's another interesting link (the guy writing it seems to be in Australia ) http://www.dansdata.com/gz028.htm

Popeyenate,
Simply put, PFC (Power Factor Correction) is a way for your psu to make efficient use of electrical energy. That, in turn, translates into less heat. A high power factor means that electrical power is being utilized effectively, while a low power factor indicates poor utilization of electrical power.
