Okay, my final build i think will be this..

Motherboard
-----------
Gigabyte AMD 770 ATX

Processor
---------
Athlon II x4 2.6GHz

RAM
---
Obsidian OCZ 1600 4GB

GPU
---
XFX Radeon HD 5750

HDD
---
Samsung F3 HD502HS

Case
----
CoolerMaster 690

PSU
---
Corsair TX650 650w

DVD/CD Drive
------------
LG GH22LS50

yes i am aware this does not match up with my original price range lol.

any last thoughts?

Save a couple extra bucks and get a HD5770. Besides that you could consider a Phenom II 710 or 720 (not sure how much you're paying on that processor) for the added cache.

I would have to say going AM3 is more cost effective, with RAM prices going up so much for DDR2. Also, the Crucial DDR3 1333 2x2GB kit with no heatspreaders is a great kit of RAM, and very cheap.

I agree with thesneakyfrench, go with the Gigabyte board and DDR3 RAM. Better performance and all RAM is going up in price so just get DDR3 now. I'd suggest the Phenom II X3 720...it's a great processor ( i have it ) and the Dark Knight is the best cooler for the price ( i also have it ).

what processors are better for like more intense actions like gaming and such?
Phenom II or Athlon II?
i'd like not to spend more than $100 for a processor but i wanna get the best bang for my buck.

For gaming it doesn't really matter, if you can get an Athlon Quad vs. Phenom Trio, get the quad.

Cases are a lot of personal opinion, but I'd get the Antec Three Hundred. For a hard drive the Seagate 7200.12 250GB is going for roughly the same price as the drive you selected and has more capacity (not sure on performance).
You're missing a power supply, I'd get this Corsair TX650.

That goes about U$80 over what you had initially after you add the video card and CD drive, but this system will last you a while (with a video card upgrade). This platform also has lots of room for upgrade if that's what you intend on doing.
this looks the most senseful to me
so this1 got my voteeeeee

ok so how does it look?
Everything all compatable and such correct?
I'm planning on running either Windows XP Pro sp3 x64 or Windows 7 Home Premium x64 on this build.
Here's a picture of the checkout so you can see the items and prices and such.

I would change the sapphire radeon for an MSI one, people says that have more overclock capacity.
