Factory OC = shorter life span?

Someone told me a factory OC'd card will have a noticeably shorter life span. Is this true?

From what I understand what wears down a card is the Voltage its being subjected to, and because the card in question is a MSI n9800GT OC, it only has an increase of from the reference clock of 600 to 660 i doubt MSI added much(if any) vcore to the chip, will this affect that life span of the card? Personally I don't belive it, but hey, I have been wrong before and I could be wrong again.

Thanks

I wouldnt think that it would give the card a noticably shorter lifespan as long as the the cooling was adequate.

As you can see from the 4 heatpipe design I doubt cooling would be a problem, I idle at 40 and load at 52

shorter lifespan? tell that to my celeron 366a that's been running at 733 for over a decade now, an online for almost that entire decade... has been through 7 sticks of ram and 3 power supplies...

How long the processor would last is WAY past its useful lifespan... i mean, seriously, even if it shortens the life 20% are you going to care that the CPU only lasts 20 years instead of 25?
