Yes he should. You can find them cheap enough to where that's his best option. MY 4870's do just as well as 5770's.

This isn't a 4870/5770 comparison. He wants to know what will give him the best performance with a $450 budget. Try to stay on topic.

The fact is...he can stay underneath his budget and get better performance than what you're suggesting.

And why would he pay $195 each for two of these when it's stock core and underclocked on the memory?

Grab two of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-298-_-Product

965 MHz on the core and 1050 on the memory.

For $450 you won't find a better single card or combination of cards than these two, and you should be able to max out Crysis with no problems.

That wouldn't be in his $450 budget. Why don't you try reading OP's entire post?
why don't you stop assuming that every single international person knows the price of every single card in every single store in america ?

You have a 5850 yourself, so you should definitely know that you can't get two of those for $450 or less, nor 3 5770's.

To think that one random store would have those cards around $75 cheaper than every other store is pretty silly.

And I wasn't assuming that every single international person knew this.....just you.

Just use ATI Catalyst Control Centre. It works for me...

I would prove it to you but right now I'm taking to EA support trying to figure out why I can activate my copy of Crysis through the EA downloader. Apparently theres lik 5 games outside of 2009 that you can activate and download through it and crysis isn't one of them, but I've heard this problem gets fixed because they make it so you can if you can prove you own it.

and I'm not the only person who has gotten good rates at high resolutions with a dual core machine and this card. I know several people, and theres one who was in this thread.

That was the plan, but they deactivated that too.
