What do you mean by checking the power supply?

ok have you played any games with this card installed yet? if you have then its not an overheating issue, is ya power connected to the card securely, maybe ya psu hasnt got the grunt to supply the vid card with what it needs which could be a possible but unlikely. are you running an old psu at the moment that could just be on the way out and the vid card might have just put it over the edge. do a driver reinstall and see how you go then...

Its probabally a different brand.
Check your voltages with speedfan before you try runing ATI tool, and see how stable they are.

have you tried overclocking with the omega drivers, maybe you are just having an issue with ati tool, are you running a beta version of it maybe?

you could just be having an isuue with ati tool- with any luck. can i suggest to uninstall the catalyst drivers and give the omega drivers a crack, they come with tray tools and have a very good overclocking function in there not unlike ati tool. at a last resort maybe just give it a go, it doesnt take that long really to install them and it will sort out ya problem hopefully
