Ok, so you may have read some other (older) posts by me on the topic of computer sound cards or headphones etc. but this one is about my total audio package

Currently I have an Audigy 2 Value hooked up to Logitech Z5300e's and I have a pair of crappy headphone/mic combo I got from bestbuy, and they are horribly uncomfortable.

SO I am thinking of upgrading my total audio package for Christmas and need a bit of help.

Soundcard wise I am most likely getting a XFI Fatal1ty FPS and I really don't need any help there.

Speakers wise I was wondering if you guys thought it would be worth it to go from these Z5300e's to Z5500 Digitals or the Klipsch Promedia Ultra 5.1s? (I have the Klipsch 2.1s hooked up to my laptop and they kick the **** out of these Logitechs, they used to be hooked up to this computer....)

Headphones wise I wanted to know what were the BEST headphones out there? Preferably with a mic for gaming but 5.1 is not necessary since the XFI can replecate 5.1 on ANY headphones, I just want uncompromising sound quality.

So anyways, thanks in advance and to recap I wanted to know;
1: What are the best computer gaming headphones, preferably with a mic?
2: Should I keep my Z5300e's or upgrade to better speakers?
3: Which is better, the Z5500d's or the Promedia Ultra 5.1s?

EDIT/// forget the headphones, vote for which speakers are THE BEST in your opinion, price is not an issue since they are basically the same price on newegg now (close enough) also, make a post telling why.

Well if youre goin the x-fi route, get the promedia dude, I hear theyre great, BUT if you get the Z5500s you save a LOT of money, and I think the z5500s will do you just fine and they will be tons better than what you have now, youll have a 188w sub .

As for headphones get some senheisers those are bad ass heads .

There is the 5.1 Medusa headset that many people, including myself, are very happy with. Granted, they're not as good as a surround sound speaker system, but they're much better than other headphones.

I have that exact x-fi.

And on the speakers, I know that a lot of people say that klipsch set you mentioned are the best 5.1 speakers. I have my 7.1's and love them, but I've heard of people who are happy with those logitechs.

Well sadly you guys failed to give me a definitive answer lol. So JoMaMaz, how you like your XFI? What card did you have before it? Also, my Klipsch Promedia 2.1s were seriously leaps and bounds ahead of these Logitech's and my Logi's are 5.1! So Im guessing the Promedia ULTRA 5.1 Klipsch's will be alot better than my current speakers, correct?

Alright....lol, 1 vote for the logitechs......so far, however, I am leaning towards the Klipsch's because I have heard in reviews (and my first hand experience with several Klipsch and Logitech subs backs this up) that the Klipsch's sub is MUCH cleaner and much clearer than the Logitech's....

Ok... so we got 2 votes for the Logitechs, but no posts explaining why.....Also, bear in mind that DIGITAL is all marketing gimmick and the XFI only has a digital out on the front panel thing which I probably won't use AND on top of that, sound is analog so a digital output is kind of stupid anyhow. So dont vote for the Logis because of the digital ness.

You really should check out these speakers. $100 rebate right now :-)

If you dont want 7.1 find the s700 model.
These are the speakers that I use and I highly recommend them.

$435? You have got to be kidding me, plus in my experience Creative speakers are among the worst sounding sets I have ever heard, only ahead of Altec Lansing lol.
