When we first went to pickup our Motherboard,I really had no Idea what was going on with the whole p55 -X58 thing ,so they recommended I get the Intel p55 board. I am wondering if I totally screwed my son up by not going X-58 -920. It will be a gaming system mainly. Also ,will we get any better results adding a second GTX 275 card ,being that it will cut the pci express speeds down to 8x times 2????

No, that would be a good choice. The 275 is a very powerful card but adding a second won't hurt your performance. From what I've read, there are few cards that can use all the bandwidth, anyways. I think it is something like a 3% drop in performance (compared to 2 x16 lanes) in the most powerful cards.

Go to the forums and knowledge is there. Learn and ask questions. Most of us start by
reading and asking questions. I'm 54 year old overclocking gammer with toys I never had
before. I like the kid in me, but the wife keeps it in check. (said no sometimes) want a
new cpu, memory, case, and ps- here we go again more upgrades.
