Really sorry Zeifer, it's always frustrating to loose any hardware, no matter the value of it.

ok, buy an new cpu on black friday(for your computer), take the old cpu out of your mom's pc and rip a pin out of the old cpu, stick it in the pinhole where the missing pin will go(mom's pc) and place this 7750 in your mom's pc with the ripped out pin in the socket and try to boot.

I really wish AMD would go pinless if only for this reason.

I recieved a cpu from newegg where the clamshell had opened up and dumped the cpu into the box bending pins galore. With a bobby-pin I managed to bend all pins back (1 was feeling very close to breaking)... anyways while all this was going on I was on the phone with newegg, they immediately sent a replacement CPU and wanted the old one in return when it arrived.

Sounds a bit corrupt but they just send back to manufacturer and get a free replacement also...
I can see where this situation would land you with a new CPU.

Im unsure if a some type of UPC code on the CPU would mess with you though...
