I went with the OCZ 512mb VX series of memory. It loves high voltage and gives me great timings (2-2-2-6) @ 250mhz. For the price and a lifetime warranty I don't think you can beat it. Some people here will be partial to Geil memory as well. I think they make great chips as well. Its all a matter of opinion. Some people love chevy , some people love ford.

It depends. You could get around 260 FSB and 2-2-2 timings with VX/UTT RAM with lots of voltage. You could also get over 300FSB and 2.5-3-3 timings with TCCD RAM with around 2.8v. It really depends on how much you need out of the RAM.

Honestly that mobo works best with every RAM. Reason being, the max vdimm is 4.0v so VX/UTT has no problem getting enough juice (unlike some other boards). Plus, with all the RAM settings/tweaks, you can do so much more than other mobos.

Yeah, I know there are lots of tweaks and you can do a lot with the RAM on that board... which is nice... I wish my board could do half of that... but anyway, the reason I said TCCD is because I was reading a review where they found TCCD to work best with the current versions of Bios avalable. I'm not saying that it won't be evened out later or that this review was wrong... I can't remember where I saw it only that I did see that.

I think what you might be refering to is the -3 bioses. The latest official bios, 623-3 bios is more geared towards TCCD. The -2 bioses are for the UTT/VX RAM and -1 are for misc. Either way, the board is good as long as the user knows what he's doing, and assuming he uses the correct bios.
