Anyone see an article about the 7800's being so big that when in SLI they get extremely hot unless using a certain motherboard? or am i just imagining this

Its common sense, having two of any video card near eachother would make them both run hotter and one of them would block the others' fan making one card run about 10c hotter, this is normal behavior for SLI cards.

Dangerously hot? Nope. The top card will of course get a little warmer because heat rises, but nothing significant or that could potentially cause damage. The 7800 cards actually run fairly cool to begin with, so the effect is overall lessened.
