ok.... wanting to order a video card tonight... need advice!

Thread Starter
I'm totally indecisive when it comes to computer parts, specially because before I found this forum I ordered the wrong ram, and a HSF that isn't cooling enough to let my 3500 go over 2.7ghz....

Now i'm ready to upgrade my video card. My current one is the ati raedon x700 pro..........

I'd like to get something that would OWN my x700, and I also found out my board takes a lot of work to get it to run SLI.... *dfi nf4 lanparty ultra-d*

i'm looking on newegg.com.... wanting to spend maybe 250$.... For this price, a little more and a little less i've found the 6800gt, 6800gs, and ati x800 line of cards.....

here's the link for the page i'm looking at: anybody wanna throw me their opinion?

Are you selling your x700? Is it agp or pci-e?

the x700 pro is the pci-express.... and yeah it's maybe a month old.... but i've built this computer in the last week and a half....

HOWEVER, I DO have the ati tuner card, and the infared sensor and the media center remote for it all!! the IR sensor is just a usb plug in thing, you can download the software to run it, and the ATI tuner card has coax cable input, s-video and RCA input... 3rca's.... and antenna input... on the actual card it says ati tuner, and on the chip it says ati theater 550pro i think? All of these are like 1.5-2 months old?? didn't use them, took them out of my media center computer that was 2 months old when i sold it (i kept the processor, cd drive, tuner card, IR sensor, remote, hard drive, and cd drive)

so if anyone is interested make me an offer!

Lol the gt will be the gs by like a frame or so but nothing dramatic that its worth the extra money. The x800 is good but it dosent have sm3.0 so go for the gs.

Ok, if you can get a Sapphire X800GT02 because it will unlock and be faster than all the cards listed. Unfortunately they are in high demand and I am pretty sure production has stopped. If you cannot find one go for the 6800GS it is a great card.

According to this page only the vivos unlock. The X850 Pro vivo unlocks to 16 pipes so that could work out good but it looks like the X800GTO2 and the X850Pro are the exact same? Exact same core clock exact same pipes, anyone know the difference?

Edit: Heres the page:
