Is this a socket 478 cpu? and are you going to be switching to PCI-E?

There's really no problem asking questions, there's allways people willing to answer them. You may want to tell us more about it, such as what the person posted above me, also your price range.

I built my bro a celeron system around a socket LGA775 Asus mobo. It uses DDR RAM, supports up to a 800Mhz FSB, has ATI express integrated graphics and a pcie16 slot for a gfx card. it seems to work pretty well... granted my bro had problems trying to install his new 6600GT, but he's 12 and doesn't know much about computers.

Yes, I believe it is a 478... I would prefer the board to support pcie... but if agp is all that's available that's ok too... Hopefully it would support standard ddr, thanks a bunch.

Freudian slip on the 486 comment?

If you're ever looking for a particular configuration of hardware, I suggest using Newegg's search tools. Just to to Hardware/Motherboards and enter the various criteria you are looking for. If such a beast exists, it'll be shown. I find this very handy when I'm looking for unusual combinions of FSB, PCIe/AGP, DDR/DDR2, etc.
