corsiar value ram? - Page 2

I've used Corsair RAM... and was always very pleases with it until I had to RMA my xms3200C2PT. The whole process was a disaster and the RAMGuy is a jerk. I'd stay away from Corsair... oh, and Corsair is getting out of the high end RAM business anyway.

I switched to OCZ and have been verry happy. My OC is even a bit higher.
OCZ, Geil, and g-skill are all good brands. I don't have any experience with the latter 2 but I've heard good things. Kingston is also very good if you don't plan on overclocking... Kingston is known for not OC'ing well.

If you plan on OC'ing as it seems you are... I highly reccommend that you get some higher performance RAM instead of value stuff. with the value, while you may be able to get a slight OC out of them, you will have to loosen up the timings quite a bit... ultimately you'll probably end up using a dividor, while not necessarily bad... you won't get as high performance.

I have corsair value ram and it does not overclock very well. I have to run a pretty big divider and only get a slight overclock from it. The timing is okay with 2.5 3-3-7 but yeah, if I had to do it again I would have spent a bit more on the ram.
