he cant even suprise him all that much. his board is AGP. The most he could suprise him is if he got a 6800 UE. Sorry man, you are in serious need of an upgrade.

ha, heres what im throwing together guys!!!!!

Okay, heres my plan. Im gonna ask for a AMD 64 3700+ socket 939 for x-mas, and im going to ask my aunt for a socket 939 motherboard (about $120 would be the limit for that though).

Then come my birthday, which is the 27th of Janurary. I'll ask for a 6800GS, or a X800GTO2 and unlock it to x850XT PE speeds

What would be the best overclocking motherboard with a PCI-E slot (it can be SLI/Crossfire) for about $120 MAX?

Josh

P.S. Sry for the double post!

DFI UT nf4 Ultra-D would be the best overclocking mobo for under $120. Zipzoomfly.com has them in stock and good price. Also, if you were to want to make it SLI later all you would have to do is make a bridge... there is a thread somewhere on this forum that tells you how.

ps - I agree with most everybody here... I think it will be very very close.

afnola or anyone else answer this question: Didn't DFI stop the bridge trick on the DFI NF4 ULTRA-D mobo?

Mine. All you need is an eraser to make it SLI.

It's impossible to mod the newer Ultra-D's to SLI-DR's...nVidia dropped the hammer on DFI.
