And IE is still the most pathetic web browser, not only in standards compliance, but also in speed.

I thought IE8 is the last one in the IE series. Anyways hopefully they can create a better browser.

IE 8 Does what it needs to do and it is relatively safe and fast but of course M$ is not aiming for speed or "Standards" They tried to create a browser that is easy to use for anybody from beginner to expert computer user. I am not to judge if they suceeded in this. My firefox is doing just fine for me

IE8 does just fine, the only problem I've EVER had with it is tabs not working correctly on occasion.

Wanna know how fast IE starts up? Less than a second. Wanna know how fast FF starts up? Errr, hang on let me check if it's actually still responding.

(Did he really just go there, I think he did)

I use every browser from time-to-time (checking website/browser compatibility) and I still stick with IE8 as my main browser.

It gets what I need done, done. Opera would be my second choice.
